Feedback Sensors
Feedback sensors provide open and closed feedback which tells the user or the control panel whether the valve is open or closed. An inductive sensor mounted on to the valve actuator combined with a target puck can provide a signal to feed back to the control panel.
Feedback sensors such as inductive sensors for valve actuators are used in automated processes where liquids, air or gases are used, in industries such as pharmaceutical, food production or chemical processing. Valves are used within these types of applications and industries for isolation, dosing and flow control.
Whilst pneumatic valve actuators are normally used for mechanical positioning, the valve position must be monitored electronically and this signal is used to feed back into the automation system, in turn allowing conditional control based on the valve status.
