FOOD AND BEVERAGE INSTRUMENTATION

BM Engineering is a leading exponent of Food and Beverage instrumentation for specialist applications. For high performance, hygienic and reliable F&B products, BM Engineering recommends Bürkert. Their technology has evolved considerably over the years, leading to improvements in design, efficiency and reliability. BM Engineering is an official Bürkert distributor, which means that we can provide their full range of high quality food and beverage valves and other food industry equipment.

FOOD INDUSTRY EQUIPMENT

Bürkert’s range of pH Sensors can be specified to suit nearly all applications within the food and beverage industry, with precise pH control. Scott Miller, Sales Engineer at BM Engineering Supplies, said: “Monitoring of pH is very important in the food and drink industry. Precise pH readings make all the difference to the delicate balance required by many of our customers to produce high quality and safe consumable products.”

BÜRKERT 8201 PH MEASURING SYSTEM

Bürkert’s 8201 pH Measuring System has been designed for measuring absolute pH values in liquids between pH 0 and pH 12, at medium temperatures of up to 140°C and maximum process pressures of 6 bar. With its hygienic design and robust glass-free layout, this piece of food industry equipment from Bürkert is particularly suitable for use in hygienic processes.

BÜRKERT TYPE 8619 MULTICELL

Bürkert’s Type 8619 multiCELL is a microprocessor transmitter/controller that comes in two different housing variants for panel or wall mounting. This transmitter is used for connections of sensors to deliver raw signal for pH, ORP and more via pulses or sensors which then deliver analogue signals. This high quality product is the perfect food and beverage instrumentation. With its sophisticated electronics, and top of the range control algorithms, the Type 8619 promises optimum process control at all times.

TYPE 8681 – CONTROL HEAD FOR HYGIENIC PROCESS VALVES

The Bürkert Control Head Type 8681 has been optimised for decentralised automation of hygienic process valves. With its universal adapter it allows itself to be combined with all normal commercial ball valves, butterfly valves, single and doubled seated valves. With a decentralised automation concept, the control head will manage all pneumatic actuation, feedback and diagnostic functions including field bus communication. With its easy to clean housing, IP protection and chemically resistant materials this food and beverage valve controller is perfect for use in the food and beverage industry.

BÜRKERT TYPE 2000 – 2/2 WAY ANGLE-SEAT VALVE

The innovative Bürkert Type 2000 externally piloted angle–seat valve is operated with a single or double–acting piston actuator, which is available in two different materials, depending on the ambient temperature. High flow rates are attained with the virtually straight flow path and the reliable self–adjusting packing gland provides high sealing integrity. These maintenance-free and robust valves can be retrofitted with a comprehensive range of accessories for position indication, stroke limitation or manual override. With the Bürkert Type 2000 you can expect high flow rates and long service life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I select the best food industry equipment for my application’s demands?

BM Engineering Supplies is an expert in the industry, therefore can advise you on the best food and beverage instrumentation products for your application. Talk to one of our team to discuss the requirements of your system, and we can guide you towards the right solution. We stock a comprehensive range of Burkert products specifically for the food and beverage industry as their innovative products are constantly developed to suit the demands of the industry.

  • Why use distributed valve controllers?

A distributed valve controller allows for the opening and closing of valves automatically. Developed specifically for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, valves such as the Type 8681 – Control Head for Hygienic Process Valves, stops the wasteful venting of control air associated with pneumatic tubing between the process valve and its control solenoid valve.
